Rural Life Fuel Crisis And Response During The Great Leap Forward

During the Great Leap Forward,a serious fuel crisis occurred in a large area of the country.This paper studies the formation mechanism and countermeasures of fuel crisis in rural areas in Northwest Anhui province through a long period of time.The northwestern part of Anhui Province is often subjected to disasters,forming an extremely fragile ecological environment system.It is on the edge of a weak ecological balance,and the system has no resistance to adapt to external changes..In the 1950 s,the agricultural system reform was carried out in the Fuyang area,and the planting structure was adjusted.The original high-stalk crop planting area was compressed and replaced by high-yield crops.In addition,natural disasters in the Fuyang area were frequent during this period,and crop growth was seriously affected,directly causing crop straw.The decline in total production.In addition,new things such as Iron and streel movement,public canteens,and behalf of the Food Movement after the start of the Great Leap Forward increased fuel consumption,making the countryside on the edge of the fuel crisis worse.The combination of multiple factors has caused the fragile ecosystem to collapse,and the fuel problem has become an urgent problem in the region.At the time of the fuel crisis,the people were initially encouraged to save themselves and look for weed trees for firewood.In addition,the original agricultural planting structure has been gradually restored,and the public canteens have been dissolved to allow households to open up,increase coal supply to rural areas,and develop new energy biogas.The implementation of various measures has gradually restored the original fuel system in the northwestern Anhui region and survived the fuel crisis.
