Expression Research Of Clown In Film And Television Animation

The entertainment have become the core of the consumer era.It can not only stimulate economic growth,but also brought balance and comfort of mind to the public,which will help them form optimistic and positive attitude towards their life.As a typical mass art,film and television animation has the potential to bring happiness to people of all ages,all walks of life and all country,but requires a proper way.As a comedy character with long history,clowns are active in all kinds of art forms,including film and television animation,and has been playing the role of entertaining others.Clowns has rich forms,materials and a lot of theories.The exploration of their forms of expression will help to absorb the quintessence of clown in other art forms,and promoting the progress of entertainment technique of film and television animation.Based on the current situation and related theories of film and television animation clowns from both at home and abroad,through literature research,comparative analysis,case analysis and other methods,the present paper mainly explores the relevant concepts,expression function,expression characteristics and expression technique of film and television animation clowns.The first chapter of article is an introduction,introduces the research background,significance,status,content and methods.Chapter Two explains the relevant concepts of film and television animation clowns,including definition,categories and development history,which will lay the foundation for later discussion.The third part is about the functions of a clown in the film and television animation,which mainly show in the following aspects: educational and recreational functions to the audience,and the effect to animation narrative.Its emphasis on the significance of a clown to the film and television animation.The fourth chapter,based on the essence of contradiction of the film and television animation clowns,individually discusses their expression characteristics in four aspects : character,modeling,action and language.as well as,some preconditions that need to be pay attention to in the course of the expression will be explored in this study,which will facilitate when animator do some well-directed creation.The fifth chapter analyzes how to use the unique narrative andediting techniques of film and television animation to expressive clowns.In the narrative technique,narrator and narrative structure of these two aspects are discussed,and compares the narrative technique in the general situation.In the editing technique,firstly,to summarize the methods and principles of continuity editing.Secondly,combined with a film and television animation clown ’s features,discuss the methods,effect and purpose of Over-axis and switch,contrast between lens.It will help to improve the expression of clowns on the medium of film and television animation.The last chapter summarizes the research results and shortcomings of this paper.I think that the broad definition of film and television animation clowns will widen the scope of investigated and application,and therefore through corresponding theory of multiple disciplines,to interprets the expression characteristics of all aspects of film and television animation clowns with the contradiction.This paper also studies the unique expression way of film and television animation clowns,with editing techniques and narrative technique as a rare starting point in former similar studies.The expression method in this paper can not only help animators create more and more interesting clowns,but also widely used in everywhere of film and television animation that need to make laughter.
