Research On Data Visualization Design Of Jinshi In Ming And Qing Dynasties

The imperial examination culture,called the fifth invention in china,provides guidance for today’s education,talent selection and personnel managements.Jinshi data contains the origin and witnesses the glory of ancient Chinese culture,talent excellence,history.Further analysis of Jinshi data will have a positive impact on the transmission of historical and cultural messages.JinShi data not only stored the bright Chinese culture,but also implied a lot of little-known stories.Now,the studies of JinShi data in the Ming and Qing Dynasties has some limitations.Because our data mainly comes from text and researches on the overall relationship between JinShi in Ming Dynasties and in Qing Dynasties are few.In order to understand deeply and directly the essence of the imperial examinations culture better,author takes JinShi in Ming and Qing Dynasty as examples,and establishes JinShi information databases through the manual collection,integration of textual the historical materials of imperial examinations.Considering time,space,relationship and nature factors.Author applies data visualization ideas and methods to showing the visual graphic image of Jinshi data and explores internal relations between imperial examination JinShi from macro level to the micro level.This thesis focuses on discovering stories behind the imperial examination and the potential cultural connotation,and make it easier to understand and appreciate traditional culture through the way of breaking the limitation of historical and cultural researches.
