The Boao Forum for Asia has received increasing attention in the international community as an unofficial, regional organization and conference. As the host country of the Boao Forum for Asia,Chinese leaders' speeches are indispensable. The opening speech of the leaders is an important window for other Asian countries and the international community to understand China. Therefore, the study of interpreting of the opening speeches of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conferences is of great importance. From the perspective of Eco-translatology,the thesis aims to analyze the interpreting of the opening speeches of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conferences from 2017 to 2018,and explore how interpreters can make adjustments and obtain high-quality interpretation in the translational eco-environment and interpreting process. The thesis mainly chooses three theories of Eco-translatology,namely,multi-dimensional adaptation and selection transformations, principles of eco-translation ethics and “leaning on” either the source-text ecology or the target-text ecology to analyze the appropriate methods and the adjustments adopted by the interpreters.Multi-dimensional adaptation and selection transformations are mainly analyzed from adaptation and selection transformations from linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension.Among them, the thesis analyzes the interpreter's adaptive selection and transformation from linguistic dimension at the lexical level, the syntactical level and the rhetorical level. The thesis analyzes the interpreters' adaptive selection and transformation from cultural dimension in the aspects of classical Chinese and ancient poems, the idioms and allusions, and other cultural connotations. The thesis analyzes the interpreters' adaptive selection and transformation from communicative dimension from communicative intentions. At the same time, the thesis illustrates the adjustments made by the interpreters in the process of interpreting by applying the principles of eco-translation ethics, namely the principle of “balance and harmony”,the principle of “multiple eco-integration”,the principle of “symbiosis and diversity” and the principle of “translator responsibility”.Finally, the thesis analyzes some concrete examples according to “leaning on” either the source-text ecology or the target-text ecology from the two aspects of “leaning on” the source-text ecology and “leaning on” the target-text ecology.Through case analysis, this thesis aims to explore how interpreters employed Eco-translatology as a guide and obtained high-quality translations in the process of interpreting,in order to provide references for future researches.
