Contextual gaps prevent the source text writers and the target text readers from communicating harmoniously. Therefore, the author considers that it is necessary for translators to use recontextualization theories to achieve effective communication between the writers of the source text and readers of the target text.Taking the E-C translation of the first two chapters of the book-Entrepreneurship and Culture as an example, this thesis elaborates on the translation of discontinuous constituents and economic terms in informative texts based on Theo van Leeuwen's theory of recontextualization. The author concludes that rearranging elements, substituting elements and adding elements are three major strategies to help people solve difficult problems when they are translating discontinuous constituents and economic terms in informative texts.
