| Taking Zhenfeng Middle School as an example,this paper explores the present situation of English listening teaching in Zhenfeng Middle School located in Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Qianxinan Guizhou by means of questionnaires and interviews,analyses the main problems,and then puts forward relevant countermeasures.Quality education not only pays attention to what students learn,but also pays more attention to how students learn.In the process of teaching,teachers should not only pay attention to students’ learning effect,but also pay attention to the training of students’ learning methods.In the face of many difficulties in English classroom listening teaching,teachers should master certain theories and training methods of listening strategies,which is conducive to arousing students’ interest in listening learning and better guiding students’ listening learning.Understanding the use of students’ listening strategies is helpful for teachers to make targeted adjustments to and improvements in students’ listening learning.Students’ mastery of listening strategies is also conducive to the improvement of autonomous listening and listening comprehension.Based on the guidance of constructivism and schema theory,the main questions are:(1)What problems do senior high school English teachers have in listening teaching?(2)What are the problems existing in English listening learning of senior high school students? Then,the author puts forward some effective suggestions to teachers and students respectively in view of the problems existing in senior high school English listening teaching.The results show that:(1)Listening teaching has not been paid enough attention to.(2)Students’ basic phonetic knowledge is poor and psychological quality and cultural background knowledge are deficient.(3)Students can’t use correct listening strategies.(4)Teachers’ teaching methods lack the guidance of constructivism and Schema theory.(5)Teaching ideas are conservative and can’t keep pace with the times.In view of the problems found in the study,this paper puts forward constructive countermeasures and suggestions for English listening teaching in senior high schools in the minority region. |
