This paper takes the water transport society of Lingqu as the starting point, takes the regional social history as the research perspective, and uses the combination of literature analysis and field investigation to explore the northern part of Guibei by using official historical materials and folk literature, such as records, inscriptions and genealogies. The development of society has changed.Specifically,in the process of discussing the development of Lingqu shipping trade,it focuses on the analysis of the linkage between local governments and non-government forces in the northern part of Guangxi, discussing the interaction between the government, merchants and local people, and exploring the contradictions between the three. The solution to this problem is to analyze how the central dynasty of the Qing Dynasty strengthened the governance of the northern Guangxi community through the water transport of the canal.Since the Qin Dynasty was excavated, the Lingqu has become the main thoroughfare for communication between the north and the south, and has become a channel for the exchange of materials between the Central Plains and Lingnan. The Lingqu River is connected to the Guangdong,Hunan and Guangxi. Its water transport traffic is related to the circulation of goods between the north and the south of Wuling. In particular, the development of the regional society in northern Guangxi has been deeply affected by the intertwined interests of the spiritual waterways.Lingqu not only played a huge role in the ruling management of the dynasties of the dynasties, but also an important channel for the Lingnan region to contact the Central Plains. In the more than two thousand years of water transport, the social life of the coastal people has been profoundlyaffected.Whether it is a merchant who passes through the spiritual channel or a coastal resident who relies on the spiritual canal for agricultural irrigation,it carries the historical context of the change of the spiritual channel.Lingqu not only carries the task of economic transportation, but also an important carrier for the Qing Dynasty to govern the frontier and maintain local order. In the Qing Dynasty, great attention was paid to the governance of the spiritual canal.Because the canal is not only the main transportation channel for the circulation of the "Xiangmi Yue Salt" to the north and the south, but also a relatively fast path to guarantee the central government decree to the Lingnan area. Therefore,in the past300 years, the Qing Dynasty has repeatedly repaired the Lingqu Canal on a large scale, and formulated a more systematic shipping charter for the Lingqu line. The tombstone notice, institutional setup, functional orientation, and management refinement, through a series of measures in the Qing Dynasty to ensure the smooth flow of the Ling Canal waterway, thus having a profound impact on the entire Guangxi regional community.Local government is the main body of local management, but with the development of regional society, local management often needs the coordination of private self-governing forces.Because of the commercial return of Lingqu water transport, merchants from all over the world have gradually established business organizations such as halls in the northern part of Guangxi. This is not only a way to maintain friendship with the hometown, but also a measure to maintain industry management.Merchants use the Lingqu channel to carry out the transshipment of goods, speeding up the development of the coastal economy and promoting the development of the rural city.Because of the interest linkages formed by trade, the local gentry along the spiritual canal are often required to maintain the vested interests, and often build new infrastructure organizations and infrastructure based on the needs of the management of the canal. The people along the canal are both the main bearers of Lingqu shipping and the direct participants of the social changes in Lingqu waters. In order to strengthen the governance of the local society along the spiritual canal, local governments inevitably propose variousregulations on the life styles of coastal people and water symbiosis,in order to achieve an idealized social stability environment in the northern part of Guangxi, and to maintain the unity of the dynasty and the frontiers.stable.Merchants and people,in the distribution of interests, often rely on the involvement and mediation of the government because of contradictions and disputes. The mutual game between the people, the government, and the merchants and the demands of their balance of interests vividly present the multiple forms of the regional society along the spiritual canal.
