A Research On The Image Of "Rebels Of Well-heeled Family" Who Committed Themselves To Chinese Modern Revolution

Family Rebels are a common kind of literary image in Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature,which occupy an important position in family and revolutionary narrative in 20~thh century.This paper is based on the novels about family and revolutionary history since Chinese modern times,and research on the“Rebels of Well-heeled family”from family rebels whose life course in the 20~thh century Chinese modern revolution from the perspective of text and literary history.The internal logic of this paper consists of two levels:The first level is the text layer.From the works of different periods,“Rebels of Well-heeled family”who taking part in Chinese modern revolution has different reasons:Patriotic feelings,the pursuit of Freedom of Marriage and Love and even mediocre and utilitarian reasons,etc.Those all show the different mentality of young people in the context of the times.The choice of“Rebels of Well-heeled family”to the same goal is also the inevitability of history.And“Rebels of Well-heeled family”following the Communist Party organization faced the dilemma of identities in the revolutionary process,they have to gain the trust and recognition from the party organization and the general publics because of their exploitive class or petit bourgeois origins in order to prove their loyalty to the revolution with practical actions.This test run through their entire revolutionary career,which made them carrying something all the time.The second level is the literary history layer.Based on the literary history since the occurrence of revolutionary literature in the 1920s,this paper analyzes the diachronic changes of the image of“Rebels of Well-heeled family”under the influence of non-literary factors.From the early revolutionary literature to the"seventeen years"literature in the 1950s and1970s after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,due to the certain influence of political ideology,the image of“Rebels of Well-heeled family”gradually lost the characteristics of individual life,and even their death endings contained political metaphor.After the end of the“Cultural Revolution”,especially after the 1980s,the image of“Rebels of Well-heeled family”was reborn in the retelling of revolutionary history and family stories.On the one hand,the image of the“Rebels of Well-heeled family”of the Revolution of 1911 and its subsequent move to the Kuomintang camp has entered the literary vision,enriching the family of rebels and making the family and revolutionary historical narrative more complete.On the other hand,the new“Rebels of Well-heeled family”image and the traditional family and the modern revolution constitute a three-dimensional literary space,and the complex relationship between the individual,the family and the revolution can surface,bearing the writer’s reflection and outlook on the centuries-old history.Summarizing and analyzing these new changes is also the content of this paper.
