The Study Of Fan Zhongyan’s Degradation Period Literary Works

Fan Zhongyan is a famous official of Earlier Song Dynasty.His political thought were researched by posterity.It’s rare to study his literary works especially during his degradation.His position on history of literature in Earlier Song Dynasty was not valued.However,he has a lot of literary creation,he has more literary creation especially during his degradation.As the saying goes,the more unsuccessful the educated person is,the better his literary works are.Therefore,it’s necessary to study his literary works especially during his degradation.Fan Zhongyan has suffered degradation in his lifetime for five times.Meanwhile,he created 145 poems,and 76 articles.The contents of his works are substantial,including concerning on the sufferings of the masses,expressing his feeling with ancient poems,touring landscape,giving each other with poems,living leisurely and comfortable and so on.His works of concerning on the sufferings of the masses run through his lifetime,otters are gradually accomplished with his experience of degradation.The emotion of his works is complicated,from the pure thought of being a official in the first degradation to the emotion of seclusion after many degradations.Finally the contradiction was balanced as a feeling called confucianism hidden by Fan Zhongyan.The artistic characteristic of his works is abundant,including both simple and profound meaning,both fresh and elegant style,and the use of allusions,both rhyme and "writing poems".Because the style is too various to accurately position and increasing the difficulty to understand the abstruse allusions,which affect the evaluation of its literary status of Fan Zhongyan’s literary works and spread later.However,Fan Zhongyan’s literary creation is reflected on the early Song extravagant wind reactionary and support for the movement of ancient Chinese prose.So,Fan Zhongyan’s literary creation is cannot be ignored in the ancient prose movement in the Northern Song dynasty.Fan Zhongyan is also an outstanding writer,and should be paid enough attention to the study of literature.
