This paper takes Sato issai's Analects marginal book as a topic,and analyzes the characteristics of the annotation of The Analects and the principle-centered thought embodied in it.The article is divided into four parts.The first part is an introduction to Sato issai's life and the current research situation of Analects marginal book;the second part is based on the text to discuss the annotation characteristics and purposes of Analects marginal book;the third part is based on the ideological implication of the Analects marginal book,starting from "knowing";the fourth part is about the significance of Analects marginal book in the history of Confucius studies and ideological history.
