Nowadays,the rapid development of information technology is profoundly affecting people’s life and work.It also brings great changes to education at the same time.New learning methods such as mobile learning and online learning have gradually permeated into traditional classroom learning,so single classroom teaching can no longer meet students’ psychological and learning needs.The contradiction between the traditional teaching model and the needs of students gradually reveals.Students are not interested in learning and lacking in enthusiasm.These make teaching effect difficult to improve and it’s urgent to have a reform in English teaching.In view of this situation,combining with the situation and characteristics of English study of students,the author studies the theory and application of blended learning and teaching at home and abroad,then designs the blended teaching model and applies it to practical teaching,in order to test the advantages and disadvantages of this model through practice and constantly improve it,and then improve the quality of English teaching in vocational colleges.In this thesis,firstly,the background,purpose,significance and the research situation in china and abroad are introduced;the theoretical and practical bases of this study are expounded;the study ideas,methods and innovations are summarized.Secondly,the author analyzes several main models of designing blended teaching.According to the principles of operability and reality and based on the ADDIE model,the author designs blended teaching model of higher vocational college English.This model includes analysis,design,development,implement and evaluation.In order to verify the teaching effect of this model,the author chose two parallel classes to carry out the teaching experiment.One class carries out blended teaching and the other class implements the traditional teaching with the help of multimedia.During the teaching practice,the author expounds how to organize the whole teaching process,taking a unit in the textbook for example.The whole process includes guidance and preparation before class,teaching and learning in class and extension activity after class.Thirdly,the author summarizes the result of implementing this teaching model after the teaching experiment.The author explains the result from four aspects: students’ learning effect,teachers’ teaching effect,the problems discovered in the teaching process and the solutions of these problems.Finally,the author summarizes the whole study,affirms some achievements in the study,and then makes a plan for the future study.The whole study is mainly based on empirical study,and supplemented by theoretical study.On the basis of referring to the previous experience and combining with her own teaching practice,the author completed the design of blended teaching model of higher vocational English.Through teaching practice,it is proved that students’ learning interest is stimulated,and their learning initiative and enthusiasm are enhanced under this model.Students’ confidence is improved,and the interaction between teachers and students becomes more frequent.The model also meets the individual learning needs of students,and their scores and language application ability are both improved.At the same time,in the teaching process,due to the knowledge and quality of teachers and students as well as the performance of the teaching platform,the author also found some problems and worked out the solutions.However,this teaching model is still need to be improved in the future practice to achieve better teaching effect. |
