“Smarter than ordinary people since childhood,able to recite what he has read.” This is to describe the outstanding cleverness of Ou Yangxiu who could remember words at the sight of them.Actually Ou Yangxiu became intelligent after falling in love with reading.Reading is the source of progress.In the ancient times,there were the stories of “rising upon hearing the crow of a rooster”,“stealing the light from neighbors”.Therefore,in the enlightenment education,the most important thing is child’s reading,According to the data of the investigation on the book categories for enlightenment education,the most favorite book among children is the new form of books that have been introduced into our country for the short-term of twenty years-picture book.Picture book is the art of pictures and texts as the medium to guide children enter another world.However,numerous parents do not agree with children to read too many picture books at present They believe that pictures occupy the entire length,and they contain fewer meanings for they are machine-made.And they cannot teach children the sense,so it is more practical to read the “ poetry of 300 Tang Poems”.However,when we read picture books,will we really explore its meaning? Shouldn’t I highly praise its exquisite pictures and consummate techniques? In the modern society,enlightenment education has highly focused on the cultivation of reading and writing abilities,but aesthetic education struggles.If children do not care about the aesthetic education for the long-term,children cannot see “the beauty” any more.The sense of beauty is everywhere in the world,and it is a pity if “beauty” cannot be seen.Therefore,the aesthetic education will be a must.While reading picture books,children have started their initial recognition of the world.Before the bond of harangue,they have been wandering in the sea of imagination.It is because of such beauty of picture books that children love reading them and acquire a lot of fun in the process,and I am also attempting to study the secret of this beauty and explore what kind of art expression it is that makes children are fascinated with picture books.Artistic expression is the noun frequent discussed in art topics,The famous Italian philosopher Croce’ s opinion of “art is performance” has initiated the new era of art philosophy.It is mainly reflected in four aspects of expression technique,characteristics,forms and styles in art creation theory.Picture book belongs to one kind of art creation,and the content tact,form technique and style characteristics of its artistic expression have respectively composed the point,line and face of picture book art.This paper takes the technique,form,style and characteristic of artistic expression as the insertion point,combines artistic expression theory with the domestic and foreign famous painting cases,discusses the examples from the theories and obtains the theory from cases.It crosses the disciplines and fields to explore the origin of picture books from its expression tact,technique and methods and understand the sense and applies into own creation.By drawing the essence and having some innovation,picture books can be made “excellent”.
