This interpreting report is based on the consecutive interpreting of master classes during the 8th International Trumpet Exhibition which was held on 16th July,2018 in Fuxin,Liaoning. The classes mainly involve playing techniques and learning skills. Therefore, the exhibition is of magnificent significance for exchange of musical instruments playing skills between China and the west. This report analyzes the problem of information inequivalence in the interpreting of trumpet master classes and provides feasible strategies.According to elements causing information ineuquivalence, the problem is divided into three types, namely language gap, syntactic differences and audiences'diversified cognitive environments. To bridge the gap between the source language and the target langue, various methods of explanation are employed,by which lingual equivalence is formed.Information inequivalence is a common problem in other similar musical instruments master classes. Therefore, other interpreters can borrow some experiences from the interpreting strategies in this report to improve the quality and efficiency of consecutive interpreting.
