Research On The Relationship Between College Students' Narcissism Level And Their Interpretation Bias

Through the combination of questionnaires and experimental methods,the relationship between college students'narcissism level and their interpretation biases was discussed.The overall study was divided into four parts.In the first study,the narcissistic level of college students was measured using the Chinese version of the NPI..600college students from three universities in Fujian were randomly selected and 522 questionnaires were effectively recovered.The demographic variables were analyzed.The subjects with the top 27%and the latter 27%of the scores were defined as high narcissism level group and low narcissism level group respectively;Study2 randomly selects the subjects selected in Study 1,and explores the off-line interpretation bias characteristics of college students with different levels of narcissism.Study3 continues to explore in-depth the offline interpretation bias characteristics of the context materials determined by college students of different levels of narcissism.The fourth study focuses on the characteristics of the immediate interpretation bias of fuzzy context materials for undergraduates with high and low levels of narcissism under different reference conditions.The results showed that the level of narcissism of male undergraduates and one-child college students was significantly higher than that of female college students and non-only-child college students.In off-line explanation,college students with high level of narcissism have positive explanation bias in ambiguous situation,positive situation and negative situation.Low narcissism level students lack positive explanation bias in ambiguous situation and positive situation,and negative explanation bias in negative situation.In the instant explanation of vague situations,there is a positive explanation bias for college students with high level of narcissism,a lack of positive interpretation bias for college students with low level of narcissism,and no significant differences between college students with high and low levels of narcissism under self-reference and other reference conditions.
