Nowadays, with the rapid development of China's economy, increasing international status, and expanding people-to-people exchanges,China's demand for interpreters has been intensified.High-quality textbooks are essential for interpreters training and can exert a great influence on the quality of interpreting teaching.Interpreting textbook compilers must have an in-depth understanding on the process of interpreting learning, and applying the guiding principle of textbook-compiling into practice,so that the textbooks can reflect the characteristics of interpreting teaching and give some guidance to interpreting practice.Cognitive learning theory explains the process of cognitive learning from the perspective of information processing,so as to reveal the nature of learning. With cognitive learning theory as its theory framework, this thesis summarizes five guiding principles for textbook compliance. Then designed a questionnaire based on these five principles. The questionnaire is intended to know the conditions of interpreting textbooks compliant and give some suggestions on future interpreting textbook compiling. The suggestions include:interpreting textbooks compilers should clarify the goal of writing a textbook, and expound on interpreting skills;every new interpreting skill needs to be intensified by practicing materials;more than two versions of target language of each practicing materials should be provided;the quality of the version of target language should be improved and interpreting skills should be reflected in target languageprocessing;the version of the target language should be the interpreted one, instead of the translated one;textbooks ought to be compiled with the linear sequence from easy to difficult;background knowledge, terminology and vocabularies also needs to be included;interviewees also hope to see a textbook which integrates written materials and electronic resources and updated frequently.
