Chinese adverb is the key and important point when teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and foreign students are often make mistake in synonymous adverbs learning.We selected repeat meaning adverbs,which have high error rate,“Hai?”,“Zai?”,“You?”,“Ye?” to make error analysis.Although the connection between China and Thailand are getting closer and closer,and the number of Chinese teachers in Thailand reaches thousands every year,we found that there are few papers about error analysis of these four words for Thai students through literature consulting.As a result,we took this as a pointcut and took Thai students as the object of this survey in order to put forward corresponding teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers in Thailand according to the error analysis of Thai students.Firstly,we analyzed the differences among “Hai?”,“Zai ?”,“You?”,“Ye ?” from three aspects,semantic,syntactic and sentence type.In addition,we also analyzed the acquisition condition of Thai students,and briefly introduced the errors that Thai students are prone to.Secondly,we took students majoring in Chinese at the Thammasat University as the research object to design questionnaires and analyze results.At the same time,we also analyzed the corpus of Jinan University and the Chinese Continuous Interlanguage Corpus of Sun Yat-sen University.The questionnaire results and corpus analysis clearly show the errors of Thai students.Because they do not have a thorough understanding of syntax,semantics and pragmatics,they made errors in substitution,addition,order,omission and other aspects.Then we used the theory of error analysis to explore the causes of errors.The results showed that causes of errors mainly focus on the following five aspects: similarity and complexity of adverbs,negative transfer of mother tongue and target language,textbooks and reference books,teachers' explanation method and learners' individual factors.Finally,according to above causes,we put forward four corresponding teaching suggestions: enhancing theoretical research,perfecting the compilation of teaching materials,improving teaching methods and improving students' quality and ability.What's more,this paper was based on the theory of error analysis and comparative analysis,and combined the methods of questionnaire survey and induction,in order to make a justified basics of the whole research.We hoped that this paper could help Thai Chinese teachers have a further understanding of Thai students' error situation.And we hoped to provide some substantive teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers in Thailand in order to reduce the error rate as much as possible and promote the development of Thai Chinese teaching.
