Anxiety refers to the extremely complex emotional response of individuals to current or predicted threats, accompanied by tension, fear and some degree of physiological state. As the main attachment object of children, parents are the growers and incubators of children’s emotion.Bowlby once pointed out that there is a close relationship between parent-child attachment and children’s anxiety. In addition, anxiety can be regarded as caused by maladaptive emotional regulation, and individual emotional regulation is affected by parent-child attachment. Therefore, this study intends to explore the relationship between the three. In this study,94 children aged 3-6 years and primary caregivers were selected from two kindergartens in H city,Hubei Province. The relationship between anxiety and parent-child attachmentt and emotional regulation was examined. The findings indicate that:1.Overall,preschool children had shown a certain level of anxiety. The overall anxiety, fear of physical injury, and generalized anxiety of children in the 4-5 years old group were significantly higher than those in the 5-6 years old group, and higher than those in the 3-4 years old group. The scores of children with obsessive-compulsive neurosis disorder were 5-6 years old,4-5 years old and 3-4years old respectively.2.Children’s score of angry emotion regulation was higher than that of happy emotion regulation. In terms of children’s age,the scores of angry emotion adjustment from high to low were 5-6 years old,4-5 years old and 3-4 years old,the difference between the three groups was significant. The happy mood adjustment scored the highest in the 5-6 years old group, and there was no significant difference between the other two groups.3.In addition to obsessive-compulsive disorder, separation anxiety, fear of physical injury, social fear, generalized anxiety, and overall focus of children were negatively correlated with parent-child attachment.Parent-child attachment was positively correlated with anger emotion regulation.Anger regulation was negatively correlated with separation anxiety, social fear, generalized anxiety and overall focus. The regula-tion of happy mood was negatively correlated with generalized anxiety.4.Parent-child attachment and emotional regulation could negatively predict children’s separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, and overall anxiety.5.Emotional regulation plays an intermediary role in parent-child attachment and young children anxiety. The results show that some anxiety of children could be predicted by parent-child attachment and emotional regulation, and parent-child attachment can affect children’s anxiety through emotional regulation.Based on this, this study attempts to put forward educational suggestions from the aspects of prevention and intervention. |
