A Critical Investigation Of Constellation

In the context of Benjamin and Adorno’s philosophy,Constellation exists as the dominant image of epistemological representation and the imagery of non-identity philosophy,interfering and resisting the hegemony ambitions and illusions of identity,totalization,and essentialism.This celestial text corresponds to Auschwitz’s catastrophic existence with its infiniteness,independence,singularity,and flexibility,reveals the historical problems of traditional theory of knowledge and philosophical explanations.In addition,Constellation is also the hub of their whole ideological process.Benjamin found the narrow door which the Messiah may enter at any time in the structure of Constellation,while Adorno foresaw the hope of desperation through the depth of it.According to the shortcomings of the existing studies,this paper based on the core texts The Origin of German Tragic Drama and Negative Dialectics,attempts to supplement the thought source and the subsequent influences of Constellation,differentiating the commonalities and differences between Benjamin and Adorno’s theories of Constellation,finally comparing it with Richard Rorty and Nanfan,s theories of Relationalism,enriching the possibility of research.
