The development of information technology has promoted the innovation of teaching methods.Digital learning has increasingly become popular in the field of higher education at home and abroad,and has achieved good learning results.However,it has not been widely used in basic education.Vocabulary is the basic for junior school students to participate in English teaching activities.At present,the problems are urgently needed for researchers and teachers to pay attention to and to solve effectively,such as unitary English lexical teaching method,monotonous homework,ineffective learning methods,low effective utilization rate of class time and so on.The demand of educational innovation is to integrate digital platform with the traditional classroom to promote the structure reform of teaching activities in primary and secondary schools.This study mainly adopts the educational experiment method.And it is based on blended learning theory,cognitive load theory and situational cognitive theory.Drawing on the excellent college application cases and according to the actual situation of junior school teaching,this study applies digital learning platform to English vocabulary teaching in junior school and explores its feasibility and validity in and out the classroom.Combing with the practical situation,the author selects two parallel classes in grade seven from Q city F junior school for a three-month experiment,one for the experimental group using digital platform to carry out vocabulary teaching,and another for the control group adopting regular teaching.After experiment,the author conducted questionnaires and vocabulary tests in two classes,and interviewed some students,teachers and parents to evaluate the teaching effect.The date was collected during the experimental period and analyzed by SPSS.From date analysis,this study comes to the following conclusions:(1)Digital platform can assist English teachers to carry out teaching activities effectively,which improves the utilization of class hours and eases the pressure of homework corrections.(2)Applying digital platform to junior school English vocabulary teaching enriches the teaching forms to a certain extent.(3)The use of digital platforms for vocabulary teaching facilitates students to identify the pronunciation and meaning of a specific word quickly,to grasp the words effectively and use them in relevant contexts skillfully.(4)Using digital platform to vocabulary teaching enables vocabulary tasks and assessment forms to accomplish diversification,which arouses students' interest in vocabulary learning.More importantly,it works to optimize teaching and learning.
