Research On Fangwen's “tushan Style” And The Concept Of “poetry As History ” In Late Ming And Early Qing Dynasty

FangWen as a member of the fang family in TongCheng.Atlhough in later ages,his fame is far from FangYiZhi,but in the late Ming and early qing literary circles,he had wide acquaintance and his poems were known throughout the world.From his poems,we can read his life history from Ming Dynasty when he was young to Qing Dynasty when he chose as a Ming loyalist.We can know every part of his life from his poetry.During the date Ming and early Ding dynasties,because of the special historical background,People in the literary world have new views on the interpretation of "poetry as history".Especially for the poet,they had more clear requirement.Fang wen's poems are called “TuShan style”,at that time,many writers regared his poems had the value of “poetry as history”.Although its influence was far less than “Xucheng style” and “MeiCun style” in latter life.FangWen's poems provide rich materials for us to research the social life of the Ming and Qing dynasties,the outlook of the poetic circles and the creative mentality of the group of adherents of a former dynasty.This paper puts FangWen's poems in the context of the Ming and Qing dynasties,and combined with the debate of different views on the “poetry as history” in the literary world at that time.On this basis,we conduct a comprehensive stydy of FangWen's literary activities and poetic achievements.This paper is composed of five chapters.The introduction part is literature review summarizing previous studies in resent years.It covers researches on the FangWen's poetics achievement,the theoretical background of poetry in the late Ming and early Qing time.After that,the author illustrates the research principles and methods and the main content of the paper.The first chapter discussed the FangWen' s family history and social activities.Including people who have lose intersection of Fang clan in order to know his deed family roots.By combing through the poetry club which Fangwen attened in Ming dynasty,we can find that Fangwen was very famous as a poer at that time and had a vast communication.In this context,we can g understand Fangwen's poems better.The chapter two is an analysis of the characteristics of FangWen's poetry.This part the author mainly talks about the characteristics of his poetry and connotation.And then,selecting two aspects to analyze emotional sustenance.One part is combing Fangwen's views on <the heart of history> which expressed in his poeries,the other part is FangWe's poteries incould yearning of Hanfu to express his of old dynasty.The chapter three concentrates on “Tushan Style”.Explaining that ”Tushan style” had exist at that time,and analyzing the impact of it,as well as the circulating of the <Tushan poem >.The chapter four concentrates on some famous poets who kept close contact with Fangwen,analyzes their views on “portry as history”.On this basis,combining with the special historical background to look for their mental traits who lived at that troubled time in order to research the different understand of the concept of “poetry as history” and the characteristic of “Tushan style”.
