This thesis is a design report on my graduation concert. It is written from the following perspectives: how to understand the chapters and styles, how to express and interpret these works, and the feelings of singing. It strives to show creativity and specificity. As a graduate student in Chinese Conservatory of Music, majoring national vocal music, I appreciate the opportunity to learn in this high institution of national vocal music greatly. Through three years’ study, I hope to put an end to my graduate student life by this successful concert. This thesis consists of four parts.First, self-introduction.Second, the concert. In order to show comprehensively the essence and connotation of China’s national vocal music, and to show my study here fully, I prepare to show my concert from the following four aspects: archaic music, Chinese traditional folk or adapted folk song, opera selection and original songs, which is comprehensive.Third, understanding of main work’s styles and feelings of singing. Some of these songs tell sincere and natural stories. I took part in “Cultural Development of Three Districts” in Xingguo, Ganzhou, Jiangxi province in July, 2014, where I heard many beautiful stories of folk songs. I also sang famous local Xingguo folk songs. In this concert, I will sing a Xingguo folk song integrated with modern folk song elements, Waiting For You, adapted by Er Guyue.Fourth, my feelings about stage performance。This concert aims to test myself and summarize my experience in the process of studying on the stage. As a teacher in the university, it is also hoped to lay foundation for my vocal music teaching in the university.
