With the continuous enhancement of China's comprehensive national strength,international exchanges in political,economic,cultural and other fields are increasingly frequent.As a time-consuming communicative activity,consecutive interpretation requires interpreters to understand and transmit information in a very short time.By conducting simulated on-site interview interpretation,the author shows the various factors and problems that may be encountered in the practice of consecutive interpretation.Nowadays,there are more practice reports on speech simulation interpretation,which mainly focus on politics,economy and culture,but less on people's livelihood.The interpretation material was selected from the 2018 Singapore government official documents on Singapore government site.This material involves people's livelihood issues and solutions of Singapore which can serve as a reference in the related problems in China.This report consists of three parts: task description,source language analysis,problems analysis and countermeasures.The author describes three main problems and relevant countermeasures,including comprehension problems of long and difficult sentence,ineffective note-taking and information loss.Six methods are put forward to solve the problems in this practice report from three aspects: syntactic linearity,note-taking improvement and memory training,and they can be used for reference in the future.Through the analysis and arrangement of the whole process of consecutive interpretation,the author summarizes the experience and lessons that are worth learning,and provides valuable experience for future work related to interpretation.
