A Study Of The Painting Style Of Mariano Fortuny

Mariano fortuny(1838-1874)was a 19th-century Spanish oil painter,watercolor painter and sculptor.He was one of the most international artists in Spain in the second half of the 19 th century.This paper focuses on the theme of "painting style",and takes the historical causes and social environment of the formation of fortuney’s painting style as the background to explore how fortuney’s painting style transited from classicism to impressionism in the turbulent art situation at that time.The significance of this paper is that the study of fortuni’s painting style can make us better understand the Spanish painting art in the 19 th century,and make up for the lack of domestic research on the painting art of Spanish painter mariano fortuni.This paper first analyzes the reasons for the formation of fortuny’s painting style,that is,through the background of The Times,traditional culture and its own factors,to find out the reasons for the transformation of his painting style from classicism to impressionism,so as to reflect his bold and innovative spirit under the influence of a variety of factors.Secondly,the formation process of fortuny’s painting style was analyzed.Starting from the social environment at that time,the paper explored the transition process of his artistic style from classicism to impressionism through the painting styles in three stages and different periods.Then from the technique,color,layout and other aspects of the analysis of the evolution of artistic techniques,analysis of different painting themes on the way of expression of fortuni change;Finally,the paper analyzes the influence of his painting style on the Spanish art at that time and the painters of later generations,and promotes the development trend of the artistic style of subsequent Spanish artists to be more diversified.At present,mariano fortuni’s name is not widely known in the domestic art circle and academic circles.Through the analysis and research of his painting style and art theory,it may become an important window for us to learn the Spanish painting art in the 19 th century,so as to deepen our understanding of Spanish culture and truly understand this buried art master.
