The painting color in Morandi’s works is to throw away the objective and subjective depiction of details, describing the most authentic color of the world with simple painting techniques.Like his hermit life,he lived a leisurely creative life in the old city of Polonia, insisting on endless exploration and research.Morandi skillfully combines modern painting school with classical painting school, and perfectly integrates the art of environment and tranquility. His painting style is very simple which is a modern painting form between avant-garde art and extreme conservatism. It not only inherits the traditional style of excellent western painting, but also is full of the charm and characteristics of eastern art, creating a simple and quiet atmosphere. There are differences in regions, times and cultural backgrounds between people, but there is no difference in essence. There are various forms of artistic expression, but the highest realm pursued is often the same.Color,as an important expression of painting style, has been explored and studied by painters. The painting color in his works is consistent with the artistic conception pursued by the color of Chinese paintings. The color of Morandi’s painting and that of Chinese painting have reached the same goal by different routes, and at the same time his works are becoming more oriental. While maintaining its own development, the color of Chinese painting is also influenced by the diversity of the world. It has borrowed some western methods of color realization to enrich the language expression of Chinese painting.
