Conceptual Photography In The Digital Age

The development of technology always brings about changes in art,which is particularly evident in photography.Every evolution of photographic tools has a tremendous impact on the way of photography,the role of photography in people’s lives,and even people’s perception of photography.This paper mainly discusses the development of concept photography in the digital age.Compared with the Age of Silver,the creative mode of concept photography in the digital age is simpler.the pictures that can be created are more wonderful;concept photography is no longer difficult.Many people joined the team of concept photographers;the presentation of concept photography is more diverse.Painting,three-dimensional,installation art and other ways can be combined with photography through digital technology.Cross-media integration has become a trend,and the boundaries of art are gradually blurred.Nevertheless,the essence of conceptual photography remains unchanged in both the Age of Silver and the Age of Digital.Conceptual photography is a kind of photography to analyze the living conditions of human beings,to explore social phenomena and problems of life.The most important part of concept photography is the idea of the photographer and the question that the photographer wants to discuss.However,due to the rapid popularization of concept photography,some photographers have joined in the team without fully understand the concept of concept photography.Therefore,they ignore the thinking of life and society.So,photography theory and photography education are very important.With the correct theoretical guidance and the creative space brought by digital technology,the development of concept photography will be more expected.
