While I was in graduate school,I learned about the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" translation theory presented by Liu Chongde, and based on this translation theory I translated a part of "Anything but Death is Just a Scratch".The report focuses on the translation practice of "Anything but death is just a scratch",and explores the application of the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness"translation theory in this translation practice. It would be nice if the translation method and process could be summarized and used as a reference for the translation practice of such works in the future.Taisuke Minowa uses"multi-dynamics" to present his life as he grows on a weekly basis. In the process of translation,I was moved by the author's personal experience where he needed to work hard to get along no matter how hard the situation was.Meanwhile,I also benefited from the"Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness"translation theory. As the title "Anything but death is just a scratch" indicates, the content is not filled with flowery wording but bristles with layman language. This book is for the author who is an ordinary company employee mainly to describe his own unusual life with his own hands, and for the young people of today to make continuous efforts in their own lives on an independent basis. The book has a realistic meaning and value. As the book focuses on how to tell the reader what he thought and what he thought most efficiently,I would like to say that the translation theory of the" Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" is very appropriate. The report focuses on the two angles of vocabulary and sentence, using examples based on the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" translation theory, and brings the mistranslations in the "Anything but death is just a scratch" of the translation practice.I analyzed the cause of the problem and considered the measures to improve it in the future. The reason is mistranslations in the process of analyzing the original text and the recognition of the differences between the social culture and background hidden in Chinese and Japanese expressions and languages.Consideration of the author's intentions and the linking of direct translation and translation are extremely important in translation practice. It came to the conclusion that it was a point. The report mainly consists of the following three parts. The first chapter introduces the basic arguments and rules of the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness"translation theory, and then explains the relevance of the theory and the Chinese translation of "Anything but Death is Just a Scratch"."Faithfulness","Expressiveness" and "Closeness" mean that the content is correct, the translation is fluent, the expression is as appropriate as the original, and it matches the style of the original. This theory emphasizes the "style" of the translated text,so the text chosen in the thesis contains both written and spoken language to reflect the translation theory. In the second chapter,by giving examples of the mistranslations in terms of the vocabulary, the sentence, the social culture,I explained the reasons behind them and explored the ways of improvement based on the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness "translation theory.Since Chinese and Japanese are different languages, and in particular, the backgrounds of times and cultures are different, and there is also an error in the understanding due to the commonality of Japanese and Chinese language forms. In terms of content and style,I felt it was very difficult to translate into Chinese, even more like Chinese. When I was working on a translation,I first communicated the information in the original text accurately, and I was conscious of using Chinese-like expressions in consideration of the historical and cultural backgrounds of the Chinese language, and most importantly the "Closeness" in the"Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness"translation theory, and I was trying to translate it as close as possible to the style of the original. Finally,in the third chapter, based on the theory of "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" translation theory from the three angles of consideration to the author's intention, direct translation and parallel translation, understanding of social culture and background,I considered how to prevent mistranslations and incomplete translations, and how to cope with Chinese-like expressions and original styles.Translation is a complex verbal activity that carries out intercultural communication. In order to carry out cross-cultural communication,it is first thought that it is necessary to grasp and understand the knowledge of "language" and "culture" of the other country.By doing so,it is only for the first time to communicate the content correctly. Then, after accurately communicating the content,I focused on how fluent the sentence can be and whether the expression is appropriate.Lastly, what is most important in this translation theory is whether the translation is suitable for the style of the original. In the process of translation,we considered the author's intention and assumed the reader, and also considered the choice of words and the appropriateness of the expression. The above analysis led to the following three main conclusions.First of all, the"Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" translation theory is appropriate for "Anything but Death is Just a Scratch" in the Chinese translation.Second,in the actual translation practice, the translator's role is to connect the author and the reader,so the most important thing is to understand the author's intention, social culture and background.Third,it is necessary to cultivate flexible and flexible ability to be aware of the connection between translation and text.In the practice of translation,it is always flexible, not just a kind of translation theory or translation technique. It is good to integrate translation and translation into translation. If you are stuck with the form of the original and translate the words and grammars in the original into the one that corresponds to the Chinese, you may be misled.By adding interpretive explanations when it is necessary, the translation has the effect of becoming more fluent and easy to understand.Under the guidance of the "Faithfulness,Expressiveness,Closeness" translation theory, this report has completed the translation practice of "Anything but Death is Just a Scratch"and solved the challenges of translation. For the problem which I had in the translation process,I thought about the method of the problem solution effectively, considering the elements such as the author's intention and the style of the original text.It would be good if it could be a trivial force in the future development of the theory.
