Exploration And Practice Of Professor Lingfen WU’s Chorus Voice Training

In China,there are numerous chorus groups active in modern society,schools,and companies.In recent years,musicianship training and repertoire selection have been improved.However,the vocal training of the chorus still needs more systematic,scientific,and vocal improvement.Professor Lingfen WU pays great attention to vocal skills,such as making sound.She has developed specific vocal pedagogy related to breath,vocalization,diction,consonants,and rhythm.These elements are related to specific traits in various musical compositions.During rehearsals and performances,she uses appropriate gestures to help chorus members understand more logical relationships between phrases and harmonies.Her methods lead performers to a greater appreciation and comprehension of musical style.By summarizing Professor Lingfen WU’s choral educational philosophy,and combining my study records and experience,this article will help many chorus groups to achieve higher educational goals.
