Analysis Of Robert Muczynski Time Pieces

Robert Muczynski(1929-2010)was one of the most distinctly important composers,pianists and educators of American neoclassicism in the 20 th century.I will analyze the "Time Pieces Op.43" as my thesis which was commissioned by American clarinetist and educator Mitchell Lurie(1922-2008)in 1983.This thesis is divided into three parts of the discussion.The first part is introduced Mukhzinski's life,learning experience,educational experience,creative characteristics and the background of the creation of "Time Pieces".The second part is to analyze the musical structure.The third part will combine the actual performance and propose a solution in some specific areas.
