Moral Construction In Social Transformation

Since 1978,China society has undergone earth-shaking changes.The society has entered a period of transition and it is developing in a more open,modern and diverse form.During the transition period,the social economy developed rapidly,socialist democracy became more and more perfect,and culture showed an obvious market orientation.However,in addition to reflecting the macroscopic changes in social development and progress,the society in transition also has a sway in some areas on the micro level and even a so-called "regression".Among them,the phenomenon of moral anomie is a very prominent problem.However,the moral anomie that emerged in the transitional society is due to the strong impact of the emergence of new things and new phenomena and the original moral value system.This kind of shock is a kind of development itself,which prompts people to rethink and position contemporary social phenomena and rethink the moral concepts contained behind them.The result of this rational thinking will certainly help people form a morality that is more adaptive to the development of society during the transition period.In this regard,this paper attempts to construct a morality that adapts to the development of social transition,integrates the moral connotation of tradition and modernity,China and the West,integrates the theoretical essence of normative ethics and virtue ethics,and make new adjustments to the changes in morality over time,thus promote social development.At the same time,we must realize that the promotion of morality to social development is not only at the material level,but also should pay attention to people’s spiritual life and create a better life for people from a higher level.Therefore,on the one hand,it is necessary to make morality work on material production activities.Playing a moral role to improve production efficiency and solve practical problems,establishing the main position of people in material production,realizing the freedom of labor,and stimulating the moral consciousness to promote the organic combination of the three elements of productivity.At the same time,we should clarify the relationship between morality and institution,and play the role of both at the same time in social production,so that moral self-discipline and other laws can be balanced in the period of social transformation,thus realizing the normative role of morality in material production.On the other hand,it is necessary to use moral power to enhance people’s spiritual realm and promote people to pursue a better life.To achieve the unity of material life and spiritual life,morality guides people to the " supreme good " life realm,makes moral choices for good,and finally achieves individual free and comprehensive development.When people get the true meaning of life and pursue the realm of perfection,the moral dilemma in the period of social transformation can be fundamentally solved,and the society in the transition period will also develop in a healthier direction.
