Peng Jiahuang is a writer waiting to be explored in the history of modern Chinese literature.He left many collections of short stories and wrote many works with social influence,which were praised by masters such as Mao Dun,Lu Xun and Shi Zhecun.This paper takes narration as the entry point,and on the basis of close reading of the text,enriches the understanding of Peng Jia-huang's novels.Peng Jia-huang's novels are characterized by exposing and criticizing on the ideological theme,forming the critical theme of the countryside and the city.In terms of narrative style,the title of the novel is at the beginning of the text.The use of blank space in the narrative content reveals the complexity of the struggle in the revolutionary situation.From the perspective of narration,the flexible use of omniscient perspective and restricted perspective can deepen the theme of the novel.The narrators make comments or hide themselves deliberately to enhance the narrative charm of the novel.These constitute the narrative style of Peng's novels and embody the narrative art of his novels.
