Sun wukong’s classic image is formed in the traditional Chinese classic novel"journey to the west" Journey to the west is a mythological novel.In ancient China,under the rule of the Confucian culture of "no wonder,force,chaos,god",this kind of fairy tale survived very little.The emergence of journey to the west is a great complement and enrichment to traditional literature,which has great significance.Since the journey to the west,all kinds of classic images,especially the image of sun wukong,have been manifested and disseminated by various art forms and media.Through decades of animated films,the image of sun wukong has been continuously assimilated with the Chinese modern national history,and its classic cartoon image has become a community in the imagination of the Chinese people.Sun wukong’s animation image shaping and changing process can be said to be the projection of the development of Chinese modern culture in the field of animation.Its image of"nationalization" and "modernity" shows the Chinese traditional culture in modern China’s survival and struggle。But at the same time,through the success of the classic cartoon image,we also set up a model "how to carry on and express the traditional culture so that it can not lag behind the modern culture".This article is divided into four chapters.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the origin of the study and the current research situation,and makes a combing of Sun Wukong’s image archetype.From the second chapter to the fourth chapter,is the analysis of the ethnicity and Modernity of Sun Wukong’s animated images.The author mainly studies the isomorphism of Sun Wukong’s animation image and history in several animated films.And how the animated image of Sun Wukong is modernize,with the help of the analysis of the historical environment,cultural inheritance,appearance and spirit of the animation image,we can explore the classic charm of the images of Sun Wukong in Chinese animated movies,and provide a reference point of view for the development of Chinese animation.
