This paper takes "El Chino de hoy" as the research object;using teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the second language acquisition theories,This Chinese textbook,widely used in Latin America,is examined from the perspective of Hispanic native speakers.In view of the fact that many parts of the text,such as the subject,the length,the difficulty as well as the new words,cannot be examined from the Spanish perspective alone,this paper is mainly conducted by two lines: One is to examine the science,rationality,interest and practicality of each part of the textbook.The other one is in the light of the textbook editor's introduction that the textbook is "tailored-made for Spanish native speakers",combining Chinese and Spanish language and other features comparison,examine each part of the textbook to take into account the learning difficulties and characteristics of Chinese learners whose mother tongue is Spanish into account.In order to understand the use of the teaching materials,we conducted interviews with the relevant teachers and conducted a questionnaire survey among the students.The specific arrangements of this study are as follows:The first chapter is introduction,including the meaning of the research,previous studies,research objects,objectives and methods.The second chapter inspects the compiling principle and style of the textbook,understands and analyzes the editor's leading thought and the layout of the textbook.In the third chapter,based on the comparison of Chinese and Spanish phonetics and according to the above principles and the “General Outline” investigates the phonetic parts of the textbook,the subject matter of the text,the content and the new words,and makes a statistical analysis of the relevant materials.The fourth chapter combines the characteristics of Chinese and Spanish grammar,culture,and writing of Chinese characters also examines the number,level and related explanations of grammatical points,exercises and cultural parts according to the above principles and outlines,and carries out statistical analysis of data.Finally,based on the above investigation,the statistical analysis,and relevant interviews and questionnaire results,the conclusion is drawn.
