"Changes in the Tea Village" tells the story of the transformation of Waitongwu Village in Hangzhou from a poorly developed rural area to a new cultural and artistic village.Waitongwu Village is located in Zhuantang Street,Xihu District, far away from the urban area, and the traffic is inconvenient.Because it is located in the main producing area of West Lake Longjing Tea,the main economic income of the village has long relied on tea agriculture and young people to go out to work. The economic source model is single and the village development is backward.Since 2006,Waitongwu Village has become attached to art due to an accidental opportunity.Since the location of the China Academy of Art moved to the vicinity of Waitongwu Village, the teachers and students of the China Academy of Art often go to the Waitongwu Village, where the scenery is beautiful and the environment is quiet. Then many artists came up with the idea of renting a village house and setting up a studio in the village.Waitongwu Village seized the opportunity. From a small, closed village, the Waitongwu has gradually become a gathering place for artists, and eventually transformed into a beautiful village with rich villages and artistic atmosphere. The director of the village committee Qiu Yongchang was born in the Waitongwu Village.Through the personal description of the director of the village committee Qiu Yongchang, the background was elaborated and the bursting point of the Waitongwu Village in the past development process were highlighted, and demonstrate determination to reform and enterprising. After the ceramic artist Yu Lei is a standard post-90 s,he just started to start his own business. He decided to open the studio in Waitongwu Village. His personal experience can reflect the efforts of Waitongwu Village on the construction of artistic village. The villager A Niu was originally named Fu Jianhua. At the age of 58,he was an electrician in the past.Since a Korean artist teacher,Min Gengcan, has moved to his home.He has also started his traditional painting and decoration business.Farmers can also engage in artistic creation. They no longer rely solely on income from employment and crop income. The income of villagers is also greatly enhanced by the construction of artistic village.Through artistic transformation, the most direct effect brought to villagers is the substantial increase in economic income. The villagers of Waitongwu use the “shared economy” to share houses and make effective use of idle houses. In addition, most artists gather here because of the local tea industry culture, and they also have the demand for tea,and also effectively expand the sales of tea.In addition to the economical intuitive income, more importantly, the artists brought the elegant cultural and artistic atmosphere into the villagers’ homes, and the spirit of the whole village was completely new.The film aims to describe the development and changes of the Waitongwu Village. The pre-production and production lasted for half a year, and most of them were completed by myself.Different from the city, the development and construction of the village needs to be small and refined, small and beautiful.Among them,it is especially important to find a road that suits villages, and villages cannot pursue development at the expense of the ecological environment. Here, the Waitongwu Village has set a good example for the transformation and development of other villages. It is hoped that more and more villages will no longer be monotonous and withered, and find a way suitable for their own development.
