A Study Of Urban Love And Marriage Novels Since The New Century

Urban romance novels as an important phenomenon in contemporary literature,has quite complex literary,social and cultural problems,since the new century,it has become a great concept,has become a type of fiction(literature)can not be ignored.With the development of social culture,love and marriage novels are also constantly put forward many problems,these problems have gone far beyond the category of gender relations,but also more involved in social ethics,contemporary survival thinking,social and cultural representation,changes in the pattern of literature and many other issues.These problems in turn provide a lot of topic resources for the creation of love and marriage novels.Therefore,this kind of novel can not only stay in the phenomenon of criticism,but also should be further analyzed from the perspective of social culture and literary history.From phenomenon to production,consumption and cultural representation,this paper attempts to make a systematic study of urban love and marriage novels since the new century.The first part of the paper focuses on the analysis of the differences between this kind of works and the previous writings on love and marriage in the social and cultural background of the new century,which are mainly reflected in the diversification of marriage problems,the change of people's views on love and marriage,the expansion of human desires and the new marriage,family and gender problems brought about by them.The second part discusses the situation of urban love and marriage novels since the new century from the perspective of "production".First,this type of the publication of the novel is to meet the need of society,the type of literature production,on the one hand,as a literary production chain of the recipient's readers first has the intrinsic need of such works,on the other hand,as a producer of publishers and writers keen to capture this demand,thus "planned" on the writing and publication of such works,after work on the market,through various media means,these works to attract more audiences,also caused a broader impact.Second,from the perspective of writers' creation and textual narrative mode,urban love novels in the new century have gradually formed a moresimilar narrative mode,which is mainly manifested in three aspects,namely,characters,plot and structure,thus forming a more typical "typed" production.The last part analyzes the sociocultural representation and the significance of literary history of urban love and marriage novels in the new century.From the perspective of social culture,the urban love and marriage novels in the new century reveal the survival and emotional dilemma of the contemporary urbanites when they are acting as "social people" and "family people".From the perspective of literary history,the production mode and narrative mode formed by it reflect the new characteristics of literature in the new century,that is,literary typology.As the popular literature in the past "norms",urban love and marriage novels have a certain impact on the traditional literary pattern(such as elite cultural pattern),and have influenced the "elegant/vulgar" standard of previous literary classification.
