The number of researching teacher's guide has increased.The researching contents at home and abroad mainly focus on analysis within different editions not the use of teacher's guide.So investigating the use of senior high school teacher's guide of People's Education Edition has profound influence on improving teacher's teaching skills and the edition of the teacher's guide.By researching teachers' beliefs and behaviors for using teacher's guide in senior high school,this paper answers following questions: What are teachers' beliefs to teacher's guide? What are teachers' behaviors in using teacher's book in senior high school? What are teachers' suggestions on improving the edition of teacher's guide?This paper researches twenty-four teachers at Grade one and Grade two of a high school in Wanzhou,Chongqing.The data are collected by the questionnaires.SPSS23.0 software is used to analyze the teachers' satisfaction,behavior as well as suggestions towards teacher's guide.The research findings are summarized as follows:1.The satisfaction towards teacher's guide: teachers have high satisfaction toward teacher's guide,and they think the teacher's guide can meet some needs in their daily teaching activities.Teachers also think highly of the function played by teacher's guide.2.The behavior of using teacher's guide: the rate of using teacher's guide is not so high.Teachers sometimes use teacher's book and the main reasons of using teacher's guide are three aspects: to help teachers to broaden thinking in teaching,to understand the structure of the textbook as well as to solve difficult points.3.The teachers' suggestions on teacher's guide: teachers think it should focus on focal points and difficult points and they also hope teacher's guide provide assistance to online source and research achievements in English Language Teaching.According to the above research findings,some suggestions have been concluded in the improvement of the teacher's guide according to teachers' suggestions,hopingthe teacher's guide can be more suitable for the demands of teachers.
