From Theory To Practice:The Development Of Chinese Public History

Public historiography is a knowledge and learning system for studying public history.From this definition,public history is the history of the public,and the public is the subject of the study.However,before the emergence of public historiography,the right of historical interpretation is basically in professional history.In the hands of the family,the general public is not only difficult to find in their professional history books,but also in the author column of historical works,so the eyes of historical research urgently need to move down,and public history is the history formed by this purpose.Thoughts,the emergence of public history has made the general public,which has been neglected,begin to receive attention from history.The history of the public domain related to public history has also begun to rise.Under the influence of public history,the research content of history has gradually become comprehensive.Public history has been introduced to China since the 1980s.It has been nearly forty years.In the first two decades,public history is almost unattended.There are only a few articles introducing American public history theory,and they are still in the theoretical introduction stage.However,since the beginning of the 21st century,public history has been developing step by step,and discipline construction is gradually taking place.This is not only due to the growth of the demand for mass culture brought about by the rapid development of the economy and the rapid dissemination of information,but also to the closeness of public history itself.The nature of the mass,this is a new paradigm of historical research,so public history as a discipline is very research-oriented.Public historiography is a new path in Chinese history.Public history has developed very rapidly in recent years.A large number of public historiography works,the historical interest of the public and the continuous improvement of discipline construction,so we should promptly develop the achievements of public history.To summarize and learn from it and analyze its shortcomings,public history can be better developed.At the same time,in today’s society,public history is not only part of China’s cultural construction but also part of spiritual civilization construction,and constantly strengthens the construction of public history,so that it can better serve the reality.So this paper attempts to examine the background and causes of Chinese public history from the perspectives of Chinese historiography,popular culture and the theory of foreign historiography,and expounds the Chinese public history and Chinese popular history tradition,postmodern history,the rise of Chinese popular culture and the United States.The relationship between the four factors of public history is to more clearly explain the reasons for the emergence of Chinese public history.The introduction of the re-systematic theory of the basic theory is elaborated from the basic theory and the various branch theories;the next is the focus and comprehensive,writing of the practice of Chinese public historiography,showing the research results of public historiography over the years,with the great king of Helian The "Alternative History" series,the popular history writing and oral history of the Ming Dynasty,and the results of the TV history activities,for example,summarize the popular history of the Internet and the public in the mass media by focusing on points and highlighting key points.The practical results of historiography and oral history.In order to have a multi-level,more three-dimensional understanding of public history.Finally,it analyzes the significance and limitations of public historiography,affirms the disciplinary significance and practical significance of the development of public historiography,and sorts out its existing problems,in order to find a reasonable and more constructive path for the future development of public historiography.
