| Lao Zi Dao De Jing Jie which was written by Hanshan Deqing is very characteristic in the many works of the interpretation of Tao Te Ching,on the one hand the author is a famous Buddhist master,on the other hand,it is a product of ideology of the late Ming Dynasty the syncretism of the three religions.Master Hanshan annotated Tao Te Ching chapter by chapter sentence by sentence and the annotation in each chapter have an inner connection.On the whole,the contents of the book can be divided into the theory of “Tao” and the theory of “sageliness within and kindliness without”,both are an inherent unity as ontology and attainment theory.On the theory of “Tao”,Hanshan discussed the theory to Ti and Yong,Tao not only have the traits of unknown and quiet based on Tao Te Ching,but also have the fine being which were interpreted as the eighth consciousness by Hanshan.The Yong of Tao embody in Tao can create universe,and Hanshan thought everything has an “chong xu body”.To strike a balance between Ti and Yong,Hanshan thought we should not only know Tao and matter but not limited to matter,namely “see not-being from being”.On the theory of “sageliness within and kindliness without”,Hanshan built the whole sageliness within work with mind,he analyzed the relationship between Tao and mind and the relationship between mind and body,he pointed mind is the master of life.Hanshan analyzed the reason why people departure their own mind starting from Tao and people,and he also said a series of main points to tell people how to revert their own mind.Although Hanshan thought sageliness within is fundamental and it wiil be easy to finish the career of kindliness without if based on sageliness within,he still put forward many suggestions about how to run a country,he analyzed the reason why the Tao is on the wane and pointed out what is the ideal state of sage,and he put forward a series of specific statecraft.In addition,Hanshan drew support from Buddhism,Zhuang Zi and history when he annotated Tao Te Ching. |
