C-E Translation Of Culture-loaded Words In The Text Of International Relations

This report is based on the translation of the chapter 2 of the China-EU Relationship in Global Perspective,the study and transcendence of China-EU relations.This book is the first one of the series of China-Europe Academic Network.Chapter 2 has depicted and studied China-European relations from multi-faces and perspectives,to further encourage China-Europe cooperation.It is a text of international relations combined by many lectures and papers given by scholars majoring in China-EU relations.Meanwhile,there are lots of culture-loaded words to describe China-EU relationship and Chinese classical sentences to show their unique points.And these culture-loaded words constitute the translation problem and 20 cases have been selected for the purpose of analysis.Culture-loaded words are the crystallization of human languages and cultures that can show more of a nation.However,due to the differences of nations' history and culture,it is difficult to translate them.This paper focuses on analyzing social cultural-loaded words,material cultural-loaded words and language cultural-loaded words,and come into a conclusion that their translation should be based on the in-depth understanding of both the meaning of culture-loaded words and the target-language.And this translation practice has not only given insight into all parts of the translation process,but also provided a chance to know more about the international-relations text and the culture-loaded words.For the problem encountered during the process,a study on it has been given below.
