This paper will take the “allegory” as the starting point of Modiano's early novels,then choose Walter Benjamin's modern allegory theory as the theoretical basis of Modiano's early novels and select three representative works La Ronde de nuit.Les Boulevards de ceinture.Rue des boutiques obscures.as the main research object.Through analysis the allegory of Modiano's early novels,the allegorical images of Modiano's early novels and the profound allegorical meaning of Modiano's early novels to discusses and research systematically the allegory of Modiano's early novels.This paper start from the allegory of fragmentation,melancholy,dialectical to analysis the allegorical image of Modiano's Early Novels.Specifically,the fragmentation characteristics is embodied in the allegorical image of the city;the melancholy character of allegory is mainly embodied in the character image;the dialectical allegory is reflected in the tool image and animal images which reflect the allegory of the ambiguity and paradox of coexistence of characteristics.Then,the paper discusses the way of Modiano's early novels' fragmentation and graph.Finally,the author reveals Modiano's early novels that appeal human to retink history and return to nature with compassion and love to complete the profound meaning of self redemption.
