| Typology,as a method of classification,is widely used in various disciplines.Theultimate goal of linguistic typology is to find commonalities between different language elements.In this paper,“Guo Yu” serial verb construction is used as a language sample to discuss the definition standards criteria,the classification basis,the relationship between verbs and other meanings.At the same time,it is compared with other pre-Qin period works such as “Yi Li”.,Summarize differences in definition standards,classifications,etc.;and add new language samples to linguistic typology studies.The first chapter mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the research and the analysis of the status quo of the domestic and foreign joint research.Through the analysis,it was found that the “serial verb construction” research is relatively weak at home and abroad,and even the basic problems of the “serial verb construction” definition criteria,classification basis,and semantic relations are all held in their own hands.In the “Guo Yu” in the “serial verb construction” definition of standards and other issues,summed up in the “national language” in the “serial verb construction” personality,and further promote the “svc” definition and other issues of development;also found that commonality.Study of linguistic typology adds language samples,enriches its development,and adds strong language arguments.The definition of linkage-type in the second chapter mainly discusses the definition standard criteria from four aspects: 1.Whether a conjunction can appear;2.Whether or not the voice is paused;3.Whether the structure of the verb + verb belongs to the linkage type;4.Does the "not v1+v2" "v1+not v2" structure belong to serial verb construction or not.In the third chapter,the classification of serial verb construction mainly discusses the classification from two aspects: First,from the grammatical point of view,it is first divided into single-stage serial verb construction and multiple serial verb construction.Secondly,from a semantic perspective,analyze and summarize the complex semantic relationships among the serial verb construction in the “Guo Yu”: first is a simple sequential relationship,Secondly “mode/state-action”,“transition relationship”,and “supplementary.relation-ship”,Action--result”,“displacement / location--action”,“action--purpose”,“reasonresult”,“condition-result” and other semantic relations. |
