The rapid development of information technology has had a great influence on school education.To promote the deep integration of information technology and school education is the theme and goal of school education reform and development in the information age.College English flipped classroom teaching is the reform of College English teaching.In recent years,the upsurge of College English flipped classroom teaching has been raised in China and accordingly studies on College English flipped classroom teaching are emerging.From the existing studies,researchers mostly analyze the feasibilities and advantages of College English flipped classroom teaching,while they rarely explore factors affecting College English flipped classroom teaching,which provides a space for further research.Therefore,an empirical research on factors affecting College English flipped classroom teaching has been done,with an aim to analyze factors affecting College English flipped classroom teaching,find out the existing problems,put forward some proper suggestions,improve College English flipped classroom teaching and also hope to provide a reference for the follow-up researches to some extent.After analyzing the literature,including defining such related concepts as micro-video,micro-class,MOOCs and flipped classroom,as well as analyzing some relevant researches at home and abroad,we have adopted both quantitative and qualitative research methods to do the research.First of all,a questionnaire survey has been done on factors affecting College English flipped classroom teaching of 410 students from 17 classes conducting College English flipped classroom teaching in one university.Secondly,a four-month classroom observation of one class has been made in order to have a further understanding of how these factors affecting College English flipped classroom teaching.Finally,an in-depth interview with five teachers and ten students on the affecting factors and existing problems of College English flipped classroom teaching has been carried out.The results show that College English flipped classroom teaching is affected from high to low by students,equipment and resources as well as teachers.Besides,through classroom observation and interview,some problems have been found.Based on the results above,some improving suggestions for students,the school and teachers are put forward respectively.First and foremost,students should be clear about their own main roles,cultivate autonomous learning ability and strengthen team communication as well as collaboration.Secondly,the school ought to actively improve on-line teaching platform and ensure the fluency of network.Last but not the least,teachers should monitor students' learning before class,guide students to participate in blended learning actively and improve their own ability of modern educational technology at the same time.
