Idioms are very important in Modern Chinese Language and have key and difficult points at Chinese language teaching.Even so,idioms are not be valued and become neglect points in Chinese language teaching.At the same time,some researchers were focus on ontological knowledge to idioms,but very few people integrate the idioms and idioms' teaching.So I refer to the idioms of previous study,and then I did some statistic analysis to idioms which appear on the textbook and HSK test outline.Of course,these textbooks and test outline are for the students at intermediate and advanced Chinese level in Chongqing University.Later,I investigate and analyze these students' acquisition of idioms through questionnaire survey and interviewing method.From these,I can summarize the mistake and reason of idioms' acquisition Aimed at these phenomena,I will profound some suggestions.This paper's purpose mainly about idioms to foreign students' acquisition and teaching in Chongqing University.Then draw conclusions and throw out suggestions which can give a hand to new Chinese teachers.The paper has a conclusion that foreign students and Chinese teachers are not think highly of idioms' acquisition and teaching.And there are many error types in studying and many shortages in Chinese teaching.I propound some proposals aimed at these conditions,such as,scene settings,stepping by stepping guide,tracing the source,listening and speaking first,setting optional course of idioms.
