Thailand is a country with the second largest Chinese population,among which,Hakka people account for the second largest of population.Hakka people are famous for keeping their culture.Their cultural identity after they migrated to Thailand is a very realistic topic in the academic field.This paper mainly takes the Chinese Class of Hatyai Hakka Association as the research object.Using questionnaire survey,interview and observation,the research investigates and analyzes the current status of Thailand Hakka people' identity to Chinese cultural.It also analyzes the Chinese cultural identity have an effect on Chinese learning.To study the status of Thailand Hakka people's identity on Chinese cultural,The author mainly investigates four aspects: self-identity,Chinese culture and concept identification,Hakka culture and concept identification and Chinese language identification.The research found:(1)Thailand Hakka people have dual identity,that is,identity of Chinese as well as Thai nationality;(2)As for the identity of Chinese culture and concept,in general,Thailand Hakka people have a high degree of identity.This high cultural identity is mainly reflected in the cognitive and emotional level,yet not the behavior level,which is low and needs to be further improved;(3)In terms of Hakka culture and concept identification,Thailand Hakka people have a general recognition of the Hakka culture and a higher degree of recognition to the Hakka spirit.(4)In terms of language identification,the Thailand Hakka people have a higher identity in Thai than the Chinese.Though they have strong desire to learn Chinese well,it is not often used in real life.In terms of factors affecting cultural identity,the author explores the impact of eight factors,such as age,Chinese algebra,lineage,experience in China,family environment,living environment,community group and Chinese circle of friends,on the cultural identity of Thailand Chinese.It is found that only four factors,which are age,family environment,community group and Chinese friends,have significant differences with the status of cultural identity on different aspect.In addition,this paper also discusses the Chinese cultural identity have an effect on Chinese learning.It is found the Chinese cultural identity make a good difference on the second language learners' Learning motivation,learning attitude and learning strategy.Based on the research above,the author puts forward some reflections and suggestions on the relationship between the cultural identity of Thailand Hakka people and the effect of the Chinese cultural identity on Chinese learning.
