The Investigation Of The Shrine Culture At Zhuchang Village

Based on traditional beliefs,shrine is a material carrier that is derived from folk traditions,which is widespread in ethnic regions in the south of China and plays an active role in the forming process of social harmony and ideal personality.Now it is a special and unlisted folk culture heritage.All in all,it can be easily concluded that the shrine is one of epitomes of China's folk beliefs,therefore,from the perspective of theory and practice,it deserves great concern and research.Aiming at the shrine at Zhuchang Village,Fengyan Town,Fengdan County,Zunyi City,Guizhou province,this paper is going to analyze shrine's external form and social functions so as to comprehensively reveal shrine culture.Except preface,this paper is made up of three chapters.The preface briefly introduces the reasons,research objectives,research significance,research objects,filed locations and research overview.The first chapter,the description of shrine culture ethnology from Zhuchang village,illustrates memorial tablets,shrine's making process,shrine's position adjustment and relevant ceremonies.The second chapter,villagers' logical perception on shrine culture function,shows shrine culture with a particular phenomenon.Shrines can be seen everywhere in this village.For example,during festivals or joyful events,people there burn incense,candles,paper money and they also hold a grand sacrifice ceremony in the front of shrine.By interviewing these villagers,this chapter is going to explain local people's understanding and recognition of shrine culture functions.The third chapter,he's eyes-the theoretical analysis of shrine culture,explores the functions and influences that shrine culture exerts on local harmony and ideal personality from the viewpoint of subject.All in all,this paper is going to analyze local shrine culture's functions and social values by studying,describing and analyzing the culture epitome-shrine.Based onsome relevant anthropology and ethnology,the paper mainly aims at exploring the functions and influences that shrine culture exerts on local harmony and ideal personality.
