The aim of this dissertation is to do a theoretical inductive research about the publicity of art in the perspective of the discourse power,in which it confirms the notion of the art publicity and analyzes the reasons for the difficulties in the communication between artists and the public nowadays.On the basis of this research some practical solutions are proposed.The conclusions are as follow:The notion of the art publicity appearing in the 17th and 18th centuries is the reflection of publicity issue in the realm of art.It presents as the game of discourse power among artists,the official and the public and ultimately a permanent interaction between art and the public.Four reasons for the difficulties in the communication between artists and the public can be summarized:The powerful operations of the official and capital influence the public's comprehension of art;Both sides of artists and the public have different understanding of the property of public art;Artists do not clarify the standard of publicity in their art works.The public lacks the artistic literacy.The real public art is the ideal paradigm for solving the inner conflicts of the art publicity.Establishing the community of art in residential areas and fostering the independent criticism from critics can help to deepening people's understanding of the art publicity and promote the sustainable development of art public practice.
