The ultimate goal of the exhibition and display design is the efficient and accurate communication of information in space to the audience.People's experiences are continuous,diachronic,human feelings are also continuation and memory.Exhibits are independent from the linear time and presented to us in the form of space.In such a situation where the function of displaying spatial information is absent.Make the organic display of space contextualized is the fundamental way to solve the problem.exhibition.And the application of spatial narrative theory in exhibition design provides us with the basis and clues to solve the problem.Based on the research and analysis of the theory of space narration,this paper starts with the construction of narrative space,expression technique,language carrier and information dissemination method,applies the theory and method of spatial narration from literary field to the research of display design.The general idea of this article is to introduce the theory,analyze its language structure and then combine the artistic techniques to extract the corresponding design strategies.Finally,taking the graduation project as an example,combining the theory with the actual use case to carry on the explanation and the analysis.The innovation of this dissertation is that: firstly,it is an interdisciplinary research which shows the intersection of space design and narratology.Secondly,it is the research entry point,It is based on the organic narrative text in which the display space is a whole,and the overall consideration of the design strategy of the display content and corresponding space.
