Que(the stone pillar)had been rudimentarily formed in the Neolithic age,matured in the Western Zhou Dynasty,and the wind of constructed Que was prevailing in the Qin to Han period.Since Han Dynasty and later period,the records about Que in ancient books has increased,image carved on the Que was more diverse,and there are a large number of remains of Que reserve to now.As for academic study of the Que,has not been cut off from the rise of Epigraphy.The research achievements from ancient to modern are important reference for studies about Que today.Firstly,the paper reviews the academic history of Que,sorted out the literature about Gaoyi Que,from ancient Epigraphy,Inscription to Modern Archaeology,Architecture and Art History.Secondly,on the basis of previous studies,the paper starts from the perspective of motif selection of images on Gaoyi Que,which carved from subject to high-rise part,and then to the roof layer by layer for images sorting.Through the relevant literature records and folk beliefs of the whole image program,as well as from base to top on the Que to show the space and construction concept.On this basis,restore the identity and rank of Gaoyi,before his birth through the inscriptions engraved on the Gaoyi Que and related historical documents.And relate the special identity of master of Gaoyi Que to image selection and construction concept of the tomb Que.It is speculated that the concept of image selection and construction is influenced by the provisions of the central etiquette systems and local customs.Based on the analysis of the geographical position of Ya'an,the location of Gaoyi Que,the authors thinks that it is dual influenced of the central and local,by the influence of external culture and the employment of craftsmen,as well as the fixed spatial order of cemetery formed in the whole country during the Eastern Han Dynasty.In fact,the builders of Gaoyi Que try to use their own skills and understandingfor Gaoyi to create a fairy carrier and a happy life,and show the identity of the etiquette building.The images inscribed on Gaoyi Que is not only the embodiment of the whole faith and idea in the Eastern Han Dynasty,but asle the expression of his identity and ideal.Therefore,the image selection and construction of Gaoyi Que is not only the most real manifestation of the thoughts,beliefs and cultural exchanges at that time,but also the way that the materials in ancient art history,which is left of us to build a more open art history,and then clarify the academic status and historical influence of Gaoyi Que today.
