Application Research On Ecological And Cultural Theme Park Sculpture Design

With the rapid progress of both material and spiritual civilization in China, thesculpture design based on an ecological concept is deeply rooted in people’s mind. Asan essential part of the environment, its development plays an important role in severalaspects i.e. the expression of nationalism emotions, the evolution in living environment,the outstanding cultural resources sharing and etc. The harmonious coexistence is thecore of the landscape sculpture with an ecological cultural theme. It is an artistic formwhich explains and expands the public environment in a comprehensive way.The study on the design of ecological cultural (eco-cultural) theme park sculptureis focusing on the analysis and discussion based on the influences of specific keydesign factors to sculpture ecology and eco-culture. It involves the analysis of therelationship between the sculpture art and the environment elements, the analysis ofthe relationship between eco-culture based sculpture and design-related factors and thesculpture design principle of eco-cultural theme park.In this thesis, the sculpture planning and design in Huang Ling National ForestPark has been used as the example to interpret the relation between the eco-culturaltheme park sculpture design methods, principles, etc and the eco-culture. Moreover,the implementation of eco-cultural sculpture in Huang Ling National Forest Park hasalso been presented. After a principle analysis and discussion over the Huang LingNational Forest Park landscape sculpture design, the landscape sculpture has been defined as the eco-cultural symbol of the landscape eco-cultural park. This thesis hasanalyzed the National Forest Park landscape sculpture ecotype, the eco-culture and etcusing the ecological theory to guide the eco-culture practice with the requires oflandscape sculpture design principle, methods, artistic value and etc. Via the sculpturestudy of “Shi Kong Zou Lang”,“Shi Er Sheng Xiao”,“Xun Gen Qiu Yuan”,“YangSheng Wen Yao”, study has been done over the representation of eco-culture insculpture design with the combination between traditional culture and eco-culturesculptures to present Chinese nature conception. While exploring the ecologicalrealization of the landscape sculpture planning and design, the eco-culture and thesustainable principle, design and presentation considering the size, color, texture andetc of the sculpture have been shown due to different eco-cultural space resourcesconstitution, guiding ideology, the dominant element planning, the priority zone andetc. It then enables to realize the representation of the eco-cultural design methodologyand epistemology in the actual design and creation plan of the Huang Ling NationalForest Park landscape sculpture.
