Acceptance aesthetics is also called acceptance theory. The theory is that the author should fully consider the reader's "expectation horizon" before reading because his reading reaction is a criterion for judging the merits of a literary work.Acceptance aesthetics emphasizes the reader's subjective initiative and the translator as a special reader plays a subjective role in connecting the original text with the target language. Therefore different translations of the same work can translate different aesthetic effects. From the perspective of reception aesthetics,it is a unique perspective of the field of translation theory to evaluate the role of different translators in the same works. It has an instructive effect on the study of translation theory and the creation of literary translation.Gogol's masterpiece Dead Soul is the cornerstone of the development of Russian critical realism literature, and it is also the culmination of the development of realism by Gogol.Belinsky highly praised it as "an epoch-making great book on the Russian literary world",a book that was "above all past and present works of Russian literature," and "a national and highly artistic work."
