A Comparative Study Of Female Images In Russian And Chinese Proverbs

Proverbs of every nation are carrying their nation's culture,proverbs were created by working people,were passed from generation to generation.They reflect the nation's ideological culture and ethnic emotions.As a part of the world language picture,proverbs are the prism reflecting human thought and culture.Proverbs not only reflect people's ideas and thoughts,but also preserve people's world view and values in traditional society.Russian proverbs are sentences with educational meaning created by the people and widely circulated in the people.They are observations and summaries of people's life experience.The structure of Chinese proverbs is relatively stereotyped,which is a kind of "idiomaticity",a kind of "ready-made words".It is a summary of people's social life experience and has certain scientific guiding significance.This paper analyzes Russian and Chinese female proverbs from the perspective of Russian and Chinese comparison.The images of a series of female roles in the family and a few female social roles are studied.The characteristics of female images in Russian and Chinese proverbs,women's gender consciousness,gender concepts and social expectations of women are summarized.Combining the cultures of China and Russia,we explore their cultural origins in order to deepen the understanding of the culture of women in China and Russia.
